What is Roger Dubuis?

Roger Dubuis is a watch brand founded in 1995 by watchmaker Roger Dubuis and watch designer Carlos Duas.
The dynamic design incorporates a complex and sophisticated movement, and since its inception, it has released many original and attractive watches that other watch manufacturers do not have.

Watchmaker Roger Dubuis started his career as a watchmaker at Longines in the 1950s, and was later hired as an engineer in the mechanical complication watch division of Patek Philippe, where he remained for about 14 years. In the 1980s, he went independent and established his own watch repair shop in Geneva.

Speaking of Patek Philippe, it is a famous brand that deals with many complicated watches that anyone who is a watch lover knows. He was a watch maker with a very high level of technical ability.
As a watch engineer, Mr. Roger Dubuis learned advanced techniques at both manufacturers, and by coming into contact with various movements, he may have expanded the concept of the in-house movement that was announced after independence.

Starting with the in-house movement that took about four years to develop since its establishment in 1999, three works were announced: Golden Square in 2002, and SAW series Aquamare, Seymour, and Easy Diver in 2004, transforming one after another. Roger Dubuis making a breakthrough.
Then in 2005, Roger Dubuis' iconic Excalibur was announced.

Mr. Roger Dubuis passed away in 2017, but the beautiful movement and unique design with a bold and original view of the world have been inherited as the spirit of the Roger Dubuis brand and continue to attract many watch lovers. .
